This is the old telephone exchange which is marked on my 1990 OS Pathfinder Map as a post office. The present post office at Hindhead is over the A3 traffic lights (which can be seen here) and out of sight. I am unsure as to whether Exchange House is still partly in use as offices or now completely empty.
