The statue was commissioned by Centro as part of the refurbishment of the adjacent Stourbridge Town Railway Station. Originally made in GRP and placed at ground level, predictably it was vandalised shortly after its installation. It was then recast in bronze and placed on a plinth. Since when, it has become a much admired work of art. Image
