Situated on the High Street, the B2191 which was the A27 until the bypass was constructed in the 1990s. The building dates from 1527 and named after a popular local activity of the 18th century helped by the small town's isolation at the foot of the marshes. The arch of the East Gate of Pevensey Castle can be seen in the distance.
