This water trough is in the middle of a field of root vegetable perhaps swedes, turnips or mangold wurzels. The field is on the opposite side of the A350 road from Manor France farm and the woods in the picture are France Oaks Coppice. The water trough is just a few yards north of the location of a dismantled railway track, now hardly visible at this location formerly part of Dorset Central Railway
