The last section of the new Croydon tram section to open was the line to Wimbledon, where the trams entered the station, using Platform 10. These cars then operated across Croydon to the short stub terminus at Elmers End station, the stretch from there to Arena opening the same day. Here, car No 2547 is seen at Wimbledon on the first morning of operation.
