View of station remains, looking towards Nuneaton Trent Valley. In its heyday apart from the routes that still run into Nuneaton Trent Valley towards Rugby and Leicester, there was also a line, jointly run by LNW and MR (Ashby and Nuneaton Joint) that ran north to Shackerstone (where there is now a preserved railway Image]). Abbey Street Station closed in 1968. See also http://www.warwickshirerailways.com/lms/mrna48.htm for a fantastic photo of the station.
