Presumably compensating for omissions caused by snow on its normal route. To quote the Metrobus internet statement: "Route 84 is operating between Crawley and East Grinstead via Turners Hill. Not serving Crawley Down, Turners Hill Park, West Hoathly, Sharpthorne or Dunnings. Operating via Turners Hill Road, A264 and Felbridge between Turners Hill and East Grinstead." For bus fans, the bus is fleet number 288.
