The B2100 road from Lamberhurst used to head up this road towards the A21 Hastings Road. This section of the road has been closed and reclassified as a byway heading to the A21 (a route for cyclists and pedestrians). This is due to the Lamberhurst Bypass, taking a lot of traffic (including lorries) out of the village.
