Seen from public footpath 400m to the east with pasture and pond in the foreground. This farm lies south of the village on the surrounding low-lying land. Small ponds like this dot the whole Cheshire plain, usually having been dug originally as a source of marl to improve the boulder clay soils for agriculture. Dairy farming country.
