Discovery Road

At the moment, Discovery Road is a short road leading off Worcester Road (the A4025). Its sole purpose is to give access to a residential estate, via Resolution Way, which can be seen on the right in this view. In the future Discovery Road may be extended to act as the sole access road for the proposed new Tesco store. However that is currently the subject of legal wrangling, so what will happen is uncertain. Worcester Road itself suffers from traffic congestion and long delays at peak periods, with the holdups being mainly generated at the small roundabout at the junction with Hartlebury Road (the B4193), and traffic then having to negotiate the town's one-way system. Logically extra traffic entering Worcester Road would seem to mean increased congestion but not everyone accepts this argument. Image
