The Destiny Church, Leith, Edinburgh is at 12 Casselbank Street in Leith, one of 3 churches in a very small street! It was built originally as a Turkish baths in 1894 before being converted to a cinema, opening in December 1920, seating around 500 in the stalls plus a small balcony. It was converted for church use in 1936, with the current occupiers moving in circa 2004. Up until 1966, this street was called Hope Street, but was renamed due to the Edinburgh Hope Street. Named Casselbank after Andrew Cassel, a member of Trinity House who used to live on the site.
