Train from New Street pulls into station, under the A34 Walsall Road. Passengers alight here for such delights as One-Stop Shopping Centre (built since this photo) and Birmingham Polytechnic (now elevated to University of Central England). Once upon a time there was a greyhound track alongside the station (now One-Stop) - the track (and speedway) has now moved across the road.
