Aldro School, Shackleford

This is a boarding preparatory school for 200 boys between the ages of 7 and 13. It was founded in Eastbourne in 1898 and moved to Shackleford in 1940. The house was formerly called Hall Place, and was built in 1906 with assorted detail in the styles of the 16C and 17C. There are stables, with a cupola, of 1743.
