This picture shows the 1914-1918 Great War memorial on the village green in Wark. The absence of leaves on the tree during winter months is compensated for by the coloured electric light-bulbs which add a touch of colour to the tree when darkness falls. This picture was taken looking in a northerly direction across the village green.
