Here we do have a bridge over old Wilts and Berks Canal which takes a track over it. You can clearly see the old stonework either side of the new brick pillars supporting the bridge. The fencing is to keep you away from the side which is probably unsafe. This bridge no doubt would have been a lift bridge I feel.
