Train to Dorridge approaches the railway bridge (Widney Lane) before reaching the station platform. In early 70s the services to Widney Manor were few and far between - principally at that time for visitors / inhabitants of the Monastery nearby. However, with the development of housing estates nearby, this has now changed.
