This is heading for Bank End. Then there is a bridleway via Patty's to the A588 at the bridge over the River Cocker. There is then a flood bank alongside the canalised river, turning west to continue along the coast. I don't know whether there is a permissive path on it. My one-inch map is dated 1961 and still shows the river on its old twisty course.
