This newsagent's used also to be Sterte Post Office, till its closure in March 2004. the flaking words 'Post Office' can still be seen on the signboard – see Image The postbox, a George V-reign specimen, contains the remains of a Post Office direction sign, removed when the office closed if it had not been vandalised beforehand. The box is emptied finally at 5:30pm on weekdays and at noon on Saturdays.
