Wadworth is the only remaining brewery to keep its own in-house sign painting shop, and its specialist artists are able to create individual signs that conjure up the atmosphere and special qualities of each establishment. This sign by Wadworth resident artist Dave Young appears to be fairly new as it is different from that in ValP image taken in July 2007. Charlie the cocker spaniel is the star of the new sign and he welcomes walkers human and canine to the pub everyday - he belongs to the landlord.
