There are two modern housing estates on the steep slopes immediately to the south of Hexham town centre - both accessed from the Juniper Road, both built about 20 years ago and both built in the grounds of old, large houses - Hackwood Park and Loughbrow Park. This un-named beck runs past Hackwood Park, alongside Dipton Mill Road and Eastgate, before disappearing underground as it approaches the town centre.
