At the junction of Southcote Lane and Tilehurst Road. After a few hours of steady snowfall the temperature dropped leaving a veneer of ice. Many roads were not gritted, causing some drivers to have to learn to drive properly again. These drivers passed. Opposite the junction is St. Edward's Preparatory School.
