Also described in BR literature as 'Towyn' Station, viewed from footbridge over station platforms, station master awaits arrival of train (in background) from Pwllheli. The station, with 2 platforms, was a passing point for the passenger services, the next passing points being Barmouth (to the north) and Machynlleth (to the south). There may be passing points at Dovey Junction today (?), but in the 70s track layouts, signalling and technology did not allow it.
