Wansford Tunnel

Although the land to the west of Peterborough is fairly flat the railway line between Oundle and the city still had to pass through a tunnel to the west of Wansford station. The line now forms the Nene Valley preserved steam railway. This photo was taken from a steam train with the locomotive about to enter the tunnel on its way to Peterborough.
