The Hall stands on Ivy Lane, 100 yards due south of the city walls. It was built in 1380 according to former Canterbury cathedral architect Tony Swaine. During the 18th century the house was divided into four cottages. Beginning in 1959 Swaine meticulously restored the house into its original configuration and rebuilt its original walled garden.
