Old tree and Saxham Drive

Looking eastwards from the rear of Holly Lodge, Little Saxham, the old tree marks the line of Saxham Drive, an ancient trackway once used by the Marquis of Bristol as a route from his estate at Ickworth to the races at Newmarket. The drive can be easily spotted beyond the tree, where it passes between two hedgerows.
