An unmarked Metropolitan Police vehicle makes its way towards the clock tower at the junction with Finchley Road on a response to an emergency. The driver was proceeding slowly at this point as the road was blocked ahead by traffic queueing at the lights and taking to the opposite side of the road would have meant facing oncoming traffic on a blind corner. Behind are the long parades of shops. The street seems relatively quiet for the middle of a Friday morning.
