Beneath Nottingham Castle is this inn, reputed to be the oldest in England. When I was very young my grandparents, who lived in Linby, told me that if I went to Nottingham I could also go on a trip to Jerusalem. It was a long time before I knew what they were talking about, but they told me eventually. Children are welcome here until 7pm.
