This is Hessel Street, looking to its junction with Eccles New Road. On the other side of the latter is Weaste Road. Running down Hessel Street is a single disused tram line. It came down here because the building on the right was the former Weaste tram and bus depot of Salford Corporation. In Eccles New Road, going across at right angles to this old track, are the new tram lines of Manchester Metrolink, running to the Eccles terminus.
