Initially the home of the Earl and Countess Lennox, this Norman style castle and surrounding land was transformed into Lennox Castle Hospital where people with learning disabilities were cared for. The hospital closed around 2001 and the wards demolished. Lennox Castle itself has been derelict for around fifteen years.
