The park is home to Palmers Cricket Club which was formed in 1984 and moved here in 2003 after leading a nomadic existence for a number of years. The square has been reseeded and fenced off to prevent the studs of rugby boots ruining the green. The houses beyond are in Hove Park Road and are built on a slope.
