This shop is located at the junction of Surrey Street and High Street. Outside the shop, the shaded wall bears a tablet commemorating the widening of High Street, from 23 feet to 50 feet, in 1896. The shop was built immediately after the road widening, on the site of Croydon's second Town Hall.
