Blackdown is a detached suburb between Kenilworth and Leamington. It is characterised by Edwardian or late Victorian mansions set in extensive planted grounds - hence the Giant Redwood, one of several. The houses have all been converted to other uses and massively extended, such as the Warwickshire Nuffield Hospital, a private hospital whose entrance is on the right.
