This shows the reserve in its setting, with the suburb of Daws Heath to the south and west (bottom right) and Eastwood (part of Southend) to the east (top). The road at the top left is the A127, Southend Arterial Road). In the field at the bottom is St Michael's church and parish hall. The woodland at the bottom left is Tile Wood. The picture was taken by Edward Clack sometime in the winter in the early nineties.
