W Jesseman and Co were for many years india rubber goods manufacturers in Newport. Their extensive premises were on Lower Dock Street, extending around the corner into George Street. Some of the site has been restored to how it looked in its prime. This view shows a part of the George Street side. The name of the current occupiers, Solas Cymru, http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/2086473 appears over the entrance on the left. Solas Cymru were formerly Newport Action for the Single Homeless.
