The hops bines were brought here for the hops flowers to separated from the bines. The tractor goes under the covered area where the hops are hooked to a hanging conveyer. The building would be full of machinery to do what once would have been done by tens or hundreds or hop pickers in the field. Once processed they are then taken to the oast house to be dried. This building appears to now be used as storage or workshop.
