47433 passes Finedon Road signal box with a London bound express. On the left is Finedon Road Industrial Estate, which seems to have changed little since this photo was taken. The siding serving the warehouse in the centre still exists, though it is overgrown. On the right, behind the signal box, are Neilson's Sidings which remain in use, though reduced in number. The signal box, along with the semaphore signals that it controlled has gone and the foreground track layout has been simplified.
