On the southern edge of the new Asda superstore in Pill, Newport is this magnificently restored Grade II listed building. It is the original cattle market building. The roundel in the centre of the building reads Cattle Market 1844. The photo was taken on the opening day of the superstore, October 5th 2009. The building less than a year ago http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/1038050 is barely recognisable as the same one.
