The shelter and adjoining shed are situated on the up (Norwich-bound) platform. Cantley station is served by National Express East Anglia, with the majority of services operating between Norwich and Lowestoft. A few services operate to Great Yarmouth (via Berney Arms), this line diverging from the Lowestoft route just east of Reedham. All services are operated by diesel multiple units of Classes 150, 153, 156 or 170. Near to the station, which is cared for by the Friends of Cantley Station Users (FOCUS), the railway line passes through the grounds of the sugar beet processing factory > http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/1520822. The station is unstaffed, the crossing gates are opened and closed manually > http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/1520958 by the signalman who occupies the signal box > http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/1520955 situated across Station Road, to the east of the platforms.
