Built in 1869, the Administration Block of the Edinburgh City Poorhouse at Craiglockhart was later flanked by two wings, added in 1904. These were connected by a corridor a quarter of a mile in length. A fuller description of this building can be found on the following link. http://www.workhouses.org.uk/index.html?Edinburgh/Edinburgh.shtml
