Viewed from the Sirhowy River, Wattsville, Caerphilly, South Wales. Penllywn Tramway Bridge, has recently undergone a complete restoration process. It is designated a 'Grade 2', listed structure. Built in 1824. Its main feature being the 13.5 metre long single arch. It originally carried winch powered tram/coal buckets ferrying waste from the local Risca mines up to the slag heaps on top of Mynydd Machen Mountain.
