The Tettenhall milepost in its setting

A view along the A454 nearing Wightwick, with the Tettenhall milepost on the right hand verge. What the picture does not show is the dazed grey squirrel under the trees 40 yards away; it must have been glanced by a car and was sitting in the gutter looking a bit sorry for itself. I took pity and put it up on the bank, although with mixed feelings as they're a non-native species, and partly responsible for the national decline of the native reds. I couldn't hold that against this particular individual, to be fair.
