The street connects the High Street to the Cathedral. An information plaque on the wall reads: "Number 9 Cathedral Street was the childhood home of Alexander Mackenzie, first Liberal Prime Minister of Canada. He was born in Logierate, and came here when quite small, emigrating to Canada as a young man. He last visited Dunkeld in 1875".
