The Hatfield is a well established public house on the Lower Ormeau Road at University Avenue. Today marks the 250th anniversary of Arthur Guinness being granted a lease of the famous St. James' Gate Brewery in Dublin (24th September 1759). The Hatfield appear to have some promotion on for the famous stout - resulting in a throng of patrons spilling out onto the Ormeau Road. The poor quality of this image can be excused - I only noticed the commotion from the top deck of a 7A Metro bus pulling into University Ave!
