Stocks and Pound, Slyne-with-Hest

The age of these stocks, conveniently situated across the road from the local pub, is not known but thought to be at least mid-17th century. The wall behind encloses a pound or pinfold used for impounding stray cattle. These are grade II listed structures - information given on a nearby plaque.
