The tower of St. Nicholas' Church, Deptford Green, SE8

The buttressed portion of the tower is the oldest part of the church, probably dating from the 14th C. The topmost portion, from the louvred belfry openings upwards, had to be rebuilt after a violent storm weakened the tower in 1901. {Source: Leaflet "St Nicholas' Church, Deptford Green".}
