See Image Planning permission was given recently to demolish this unlisted building at 41-49 Queen Street – a former linen warehouse reputedly built in 1911 ie coming towards the end of the era of the expansion of the linen trade in Belfast. The intention is to replace it with a nine-storey building of apartments and shops. There was a previous permission, in 1998, for an eight-storey office building. There is some opposition to the demolition. (Note: this sequence of photographs appears as a matter of record only and should not be interpreted as indicating any personal views for or against the demolition and replacement).
