The Friends of Stanley Playground teamed up with Wakefield Council to transform the dilapidated play area behind the library, See Image, by obtaining grants worth a total of £96,000 from environmental charity WREN and the Big Lottery Fund. Work is scheduled to be completed by the end of September 2009.
