Corpse of a fox on a footpath in the valley of the South Esk. One does not often see bodies in the open like this, and I’m not sure how long it would have been there – I would estimate perhaps two or three weeks. It had been disembowelled, presumably by other animals, and maggots were abundant [see detail Image
