On the Staffordshire and Worcestershire Canal, this is Bridge No 86 and Lock No 38. The lock lowers (or raises) the water level by 9 feet 3 inches (2.8metres). Since 1998 the lock gates have been renewed and the pub has mounted a bigger and better sign. Image]
