Image: © Kenneth Mallard Taken: 9 Sep 2009

Townhead at the top of Polnoon Street before the fields. The cottage on the left has two canted dormers to the front elevation allowing light in to the attic space. The rear extension appears to have a shed dormer. The cottage on the right has a steeply pitched roof and was probably originally thatched. It has plain rolled skewputs (the bottom stone of a skew or slope). Gabled dormers can be seen to the front elevations of two cottages in the distance.
